Our chosen charity for our 2017 season is Children’s Hospice South West who provide hospice care for children with life-limiting conditions and their whole family across the South West. This includes respite, short breaks, emergency care, palliative care and end of life care.
Loose change at our tills can be placed in their collection pots, bets from our 20p duck race will all be going to the hospice as well as any wishes made when you throw loose change onto the boat in the front entrance. Thank you in advance for any support of the hospice that do amazing work.
You can read more about the valuable work the charity do, on their website.
Last year we supported the family of local schoolgirl Izzy to help raise £80,000 for her to have a life changing spinal operation. Izzy was born with cystic fibrosis spastic dysplegia and the operation will enable her to walk and dance with her twin sister.
In May 2016 we donated the fun park to Izzy’s family to host a fundraising day which was a huge success raising over £5.3k! Over 1000 visitors attended the day in support of Izzy and all of the entrance fe+e was donated to her family. The money raised has/will be used for surgery, travel and accommodation costs, prolonged intensive post op physiotherapy rehab and equipment to build a mini home gym.
All the money from our duck races, loose change donated in the collection tins at our till points and any wishes made with pennies on our boat in the front entrance – were all donated at the end of the season. The total amount raised and donated was £5,656.01!
Thank you to all our customers for supporting Izzy’s family. In January 2017 she flew out to the United States with her family and successfully had her operation. Early signs are promising but Izzy has a long way to go yet and a lot of physiotherapy to strengthen her legs. Well done Izzy!

During 2016 we issued fundraising vouchers worth over £2,500 for events being organised in Cornwall. Organising any event isn’t easy so we’d like to raise a cheer to all those that raised money for their families and organisations during 2016 – well done!
We can’t guarantee being able to support your event, but we’ll always do our best. We recommend you contact us well in advance of your event date.
