Easter 2018 newsletter

We’re so egg-cited to be open for the season!

We have lots of fun to keep the kids entertained every day this Easter. We have our usual daily timetable of activities which includes bunny cuddles and pony rides, an Easter egg trail to win a small treat and meet and feed our new lambs! Plus, will you be lucky and see our chicks hatch from their eggs when you visit?

Our adorable lambs arrived last week, who were all born as one of triplets. They’re settling in and already causing mischief playing and jumping around. But we need a little help to bottle feed them to grow big and strong!

Our incubators are on, keeping our chicken eggs warm just like mother hen would. Our young visitors were thrilled over the weekend to see some Polish frizzle chickens hatch from their shells, and we have lots more due to hatch throughout the holidays!

We’re open 10am to 5pm every day during the local school holidays. We’ll be closed on Sundays from 15 April 2018 until May half term. More information is available on our website

Goose goosey gander – when Hannah met Dave!

Last year we offered a new home for Hannah the goose, who can often be heard loudly honking on the yard! We’re delighted to have recently welcomed a mate for Hannah, called Dave.

Dave, a local gander, recently lost his mate so his owner was looking for a loving new home and mate for him. We’re delighted it looks like Dave and Hannah have hit it off and they can often be found following each other around the park!

Hannah joined us during a quarantine imposed by the Department for the Environment and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) last winter so she was confined to the stables along with our ducks and chickens. She’s also not had much experience with water so we’re hoping Dave will encourage her to explore and coax her into making a splash in one of our beautiful lakes!

Visit us for even less with our reduced season passes!

Our season passes have been a big hit with locals as they offer such good value for families looking for fun days out. As a special thank you to our local visitors, we’ve reduced the price of our season passes purchased during 2018!

You can buy your season pass at any time during the season – whilst we’re closed during the winter, the passes expire 12 months from the date you buy them.

Simply let our kiosk staff know when you next visit that you’d like to buy a season pass. We’ll need to see photo ID and proof of your address (e.g. a utility bill or driving licence) – but you won’t need this each time you visit after. Then you’re all set to have lots of family fun!
